Health benefit of Aswagandha Withania somnifera, Solanaceae Plant

Introduction

Ashwagandha is also called as Withania Somnifera which  is evergreen herb in the solanaceae plant family. It is commonly  names as Indian Ginsing and winter cherry in Middle East and North Africa, South Europe  and Indian subcontinent.

Root powder of Aswagandha plant has been used from centuries for Traditional Indian Medicine. Withania Somnifera/Aswagandha is commonly  a dietary supplement basically extract from its root or leaf powder. It is useful on stress, anxiety, sleep etc.

Ashwagandha is a yellow flower plant which has very potent root that has many health benefits improves the functioning of your brain, boosts your energy level and reduces stress and anxiety. This plant can be grown on a variety of soils and grow in minimal watering.

Some of the top health benefits of its are as under:

            1.Useful in Rejuvenation: Take 5 gram ashwagandha powder is boiled in 200 ml of milk till reduced to 100ml. After filtered and consumed in lukewarm situation. This is very effective to promote the vigor and is an established rejuvenator.

2. Useful in Geriatric tiredness : Equal quantity of fine powders of Ashwagandha, Kapikacchu and black sesame seeds are mixed thoroughly. It is administered in a dose of 5 grams, with a cup of warm milk is useful to relieve tiredness, fatigue and geriatric problems such as arthritis.
