Introduction
Ginger/Adrak/Sonth (Zingiber officinale, Zingiberaceae) has the three factor properties such as appetizer, purgative and heavy to promote strong digestion system. It helps to giving relief in cough, cold and body pain because of its Vata kapha balancing properties. Taking ginger before food, it stimulates the taste of tongue buds and provide relief in sore throat. It also helps to improve digestion and increase better metabolism. The regular drink of ginger water resulting to reduce body weight fastly.

Some guidelines to intake of Adrak tree for health benefits:
1.Useful in loss of appetite: Eating ginger slice with pinch of salt before eating the food resulting for good digestion and relaxing in tongue and throat.
2. Diarrhea: The naval is filled with raw ginger juice and poured on umbilicus for 15 to 20 min once daily after making a basin around umbilicus by the paste of black gram and amla powder. And it should be use till the diarrhea subsides.
3. Ear ache: Prepare the oil with equal quantity of rocks salt, ginger juice, honey and mustard oil. Put 2 drops in the ear is very effective to fast relief in ear ache.
4. Vomiting: As per the condition mix 1 teaspoonful each of ginger juice and lemon juice and consume it several times a day.
5. Cholera: Mix 2 teaspoonful of grated fresh ginger with 1 teaspoonful of honey and consume this mixture 4 times a day to improve digestion in cholera.
6. Urticaria: Take 10 ml fresh ginger juice with old jaggery twice daily before eating food till the reduction of swelling and itching.
