Arjuna tree is a part of the genus Terminalia. It is very commonly used as Arjuna in Indian region. And it is very useful benefits for health and medical concerns.
The arjuna is seen across the Indian Subcontinent, and usually found growing on river banks or near dry river beds in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha and south and central India, Karachi Pakistan along with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.[1][5] It has also been planted in Malaysia, Indonesia and Kenya

Some guidelines to intake of Arjuna tree for health benefits:
1.Useful for Heart: 05gms Arjuna chhal(bark) powder should be boiled in 100ml of milk and boiled when it will reduced to 50 ml. Than taking this drink orally before going to bed is very healthful for heart.
- Useful in Osteoporosis: 10 gms of arjuna bark powder is boiled in 200ml of water till it reduced to one- fourth and filtered. This decoction is consumed along with half a teaspoonful of jaggery and a teaspoonful of honey. This is helpul for the treatment of osteoporosis and fatigue caused during old age.
- Useful in Hair fall: Mature green leaves of Arjuna are soaked in water for 2-3 hours and macerated well with hands. It yields a mucilagenous mix. It is used for washing the hairs. It is applied over scalp and washed after 30 minutes. This improves shine, dense and quality of hair.
4.Useful in Wound: Dusting the arjuna chhal (bark)powder over the wounds/ulcers,is very beneficial for fast healing.
5. Useful in Peripheral neuritis: Equal quantity of Arjuna, Asana (Pterocarpus marsupium) and Bilva (bael tree) barks fine powders mixed well. 3 gms of this mixture is given in empty stomach along with a cup of water for the treatment of peripheral neuritis or numbnes.
